About the Role

The L&D Coordinator reports to the L&D Lead and supports the global L&D function by providing critical administrative and logistical support to the international team. This role ensures the smooth planning, coordination and execution of learning initiatives through effective management of training logistics, systems, records, reporting and communications.

 

The L&D Coordinator serves as a brand ambassador for both the L&D function and the broader Maples Group, acting as the primary point of contact for employee L&D inquiries. The role plays a key part in shaping the employee experience through professional, responsive and service-oriented support. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.

 

Primary responsibilities include: 

 

  • Act as the primary contact for L&D queries, delivering a high-quality employee experience
  • Manage the L&D shared inbox, ensuring timely, accurate and professional responses, escalating queries where appropriate
  • Provide proactive day-to-day administrative and operational support to the international L&D team
  • Coordinate schedules and end-to-end logistics for global training programmes (virtual, hybrid and in-person)
  • Manage the global training calendar, scheduling across time zones and overseeing invitations and communications
  • Coordinate external vendors and suppliers, managing bookings, documentation and operational follow-up in line with internal processes
  • Maintain and manage accurate learning management system (LMS) data, including attendance tracking and programme documentation
  • Coordinate feedback and evaluation processes, collecting and analysing data and preparing clear and accurate first-draft reports and summaries
  • Draft and maintain L&D communications, including newsletters and intranet content
  • Provide onsite or virtual operational support at events as required

 

 EXPERIENCE

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other related disciplines
  • 2+ years' experience in an administrative, HR or L&D role (experience in a law firm or financial services environment would be preferred)
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across scheduling, documentation and reporting activities
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and prepare clear, concise summaries and reports
  • Effective project coordination skills, including planning, tracking progress and managing dependencies to ensure ontime delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, clientfocused approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, vendors and stakeholders across regions and time zones
  • Adaptability and a proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues independently
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and confidence in learning new systems (such as LMS platforms)
